Reviews and Comments
"I just wanted to drop you a line to thank
you for giving me the opportunity to hear Amanda Cook play last
night. I thoroughly enjoyed the evening, the whole experience has
left me with a lovely memory and plenty of inspiration!
I felt privileged to be at such an intimate gathering
to hear a wonderful musician displaying her art and skill.
I hope the evening was judged to be a success
by all and thank you once again for including me."

"An enchanting evening with a very balanced
programme, I particularly liked the ‘Recuerdos de L’Alhambra’;
this was the best version I’ve ever heard."
K – Hampstead
"A brief note to say how much I enjoyed the
concert- it is wonderful to hear such a combination of technique,
musicality and vibrant sound.
Even the Carcassi studies, which I have always
previously regarded as the guitarists equivalent of dental treatment
(!), were imbued with a wonderful musicality that entirely changes
your view of them- it is amazing how it is often the more simple
music that provides the best illustration of the unbelievable standard
that these top musicians achieve.
As for the Giuliani variations, all I can say
is that I am still in a state of awe….!"
M – Kingston.
"What a fantastic sound from the Maingard
Guitar - it really did fill the room, and the icing on the cake
was having wine from the country of origin to drink whilst listening.
Keep these concerts coming!"
C – Surbiton
"... Now, if you could sell Maingard guitars
that came with a guarantee that the new owner would be producing
a sound as beautiful as the one that we heard on Saturday evening
you would be assured of instant commercial success!"
M – Esher
